  4. good points wimvb, i did notice that sample covering the galaxy at the top right and had to think about that lol, im still learning PI and im going through Rogelio's book at the moment, i find it interesting how different people process, its definatly a dark art thats for sure, i totally feel like a noob and ive only been doing AP for around 6 years, on and off lol
  5. Just come across an interesting watch, this guy uses huge samples, and only samples the outside of his image, kind of makes sense, I'll have to experiment to see for my self but he seems to get good results...
  6. Looking nice! You changed the vents from the left to the middle I see, are they just ventilation? What program did you use to design the build?
  7. this is awesome! id love something like this one day i really would, look forward to your construction pics, good luck with the build mate
  8. thanks a lot guys, you're right i normally work with stacked images in PI, ive been having a play about with old images tonight and they have been single subs, not stacks, so this is why i think, good to know for future if i want to work on single images, not really had much need to work on singles in PI as mostly my singles are for daytime photography which i just use PS, im pretty tired now, ill have a more in depth play tomorrow, thanks a lot for taking the time to help, have a good evening all o7
  9. done the debayer but its given me this weird green image, the name in the window has changed to RGB now so thats a bonus, just do not know why its not liking any of my raw files now
  10. thanks for your tips guys, ive used PI for years and not had this issue, so strange, never had to do anything to my raw files, ill check the debayer now
  11. yes i have got stf active, ive reset it but image is still gray, its even got the name gray in the image window which i do not recall ever seeing
  12. i do not mate, its a fresh cr2 file from my canon 7d, never had this before with PI so a bit puzzled to why its doing it now, i only loading it into PS to make sure i was not going crazy and there was colour in the image lol
  13. does anyone have the foggiest why PI is importing my raw dslr as Gray? to the right is the same image open in PS
