Aurora over Wick,Caithness 6/8/2011

I was lucky enough to see and photograph the northern lights in the early hours of last saturday morning.

What a lightshow,i was truely humbled and mesmorised.

Hi Steve,i have a Canon EOS 7D

F-stop f/3.5

4 second exposure though i do now think that was maybe too long,ill try a 2 second exposure next time to get a sharper image.

ISO-2000

focal length 10mm
