Albireo - Oh the colours

Captured this quick image of Albireo, and really ramped up the saturation to show the colour contrast. Possibly a bit much, but it really shows the amazing colour contrast between the pair.

It's a fabulous object isn't it, even in a small telescope but it can be tricky to capture on CCD without blowing the centre of each star. Your image shows the contrasting colours nicely.

You can't beat the contrasting colours in a double star like Albireo.

Alberio was one of the sights that got me hooked on stargazing. Don't be critical about details. I think you have captured the double's character beautifully.

I took one when I first started imaging and it is still by far one of the poorest pics Ive yaken, but still one of my ultimate favourites. Alberio Rocks!

Great photo. I got to see this for the first time on Friday, and it was one of the best things I've seen yet. I used 38mm panaview eyepiece, and set in all the stars of the Milky Way it just looked fabulous.

I wouldn't dismiss this as requiring no effort! It requires exposure, focus and colour balance to be dead right - and they are.

Beautiful picture.

This is a first-night 'must see' when I have beginners here and it never fails to delight. I suggest racking out of focus till the two discs touch, so as to bring up the contrast.

I viewed this last night, for the first time! The colours are really are stunning!! The 'blue' star was really vivid for me, although the larger star looked a lot 'whiter' for me than the photo posted.....still...lovely contrast.
