  1. Its a very good start and hopefully with better weather you'll get a lot more subs and create some great images.
  2. I like the gentle colours, shame about the plane. I'me sure there's a way of editing it out or maybe try re-stacking without that frame.
  3. Send 365astronomy an email, they should be able to order the larger size for you.
  4. Not something I really intend to do, once I practice a bit visually I want to set up my DSLR on the scope and also the SX 694 etc. But until then will just take a few potshots with my phone.
  5. Lovely set up, looks like a real beast of a mount. Glad you survived the fall with only a few bumps and bruises.
  6. I really like these images especially the colour tone.
  7. Thank you all for the likes and comments, just need to get more clear skies and practice. The 115edt came with an Altair 80mm guidescope, just been trying to figure out why I couldn't get it focussed. Just figured out that it was set up for theGP3CAM guider. Dismantled that set up and fixed the diagonal directly to the scopes rotating ring and hey presto, should be able to do a proper alignment next time.
  8. Tried experimenting a little on the basics on a couple of other shots and it just looked horrendous. There was a lot of glow last night and the moon seemed extremely bright.
  9. Much better colours. love it.
  10. That was with my nearly new Altair Wave 115EDT. I think the yellow is sunlight reflection, had to darken the image a fair bit to really make it pop. Just used my iPhone X handheld.
  11. Hi all, found a fairly brief opportunity to get my scope out for the first time. Managed a few shots through the eyepiece before the clouds rolled in again. Had to do a little tweaking in Photos.
  12. I think Trevor Jones/ AstroBackYard had something on this in one of his videos. I think there are some gains to be had with non modded DSLRs but no where near as much as modded.
  13. Very nice, looks like there might be a little more to be seen around the fringes going by the feint smudges.
  14. It does ...................with a liberal dose of rum or whiskey☕
  15. Or rig up a small computer fan to the camera back. Ideally what you want is a peltier cooling modification but that means getting into the camera.
  16. @Rheemhater Did you ever find a supplier for these? If not then let me know how many of each you want and I'll have a go.
  17. A lot depends on the manufacturers warranty. I bought a used tig welder off Ebay a few years ago but after a couple of months the main board blew. Made a call to a registered service centre and found out that the welder was still in warranty by a month so had it fixed for free.
  18. Good video by the way. The more you do the better they will get.
  19. Much better colour in the galaxy, image as a whole looks a little foggier to me though.
  20. Does that include spending more money 😎
  21. Make sure your 1/4" bolts are the correct thread pitch and form. Most common in the UK is Whitworth thread with is a 55º form, UNC is 60º.
  22. Great images, especial the full disk.
  23. I'm not sure about reducing load on the motors as mass x distance is the same either way but it will reduce moment of inertia.
  24. I would have thought they would be included.
