  1. Wow, the expense is horrendous. 🤣 Great job and good idea with the velcro.
  2. The Rustoleum has far more coverage, at a guess the Tal-1 has a tube diameter of around 0.12m and a length of around 0.8m giving you roughly 0.3m sq surface area. One can of Rusty will do 4 or 5 light coats.
  3. Is there a tiny alan key grub screw somewhere around the edge?
  4. The can should tell you the coverage. Hammerite says it will cover up to 0.5 meters sq. Area will be Pi x diameter x length.
  5. Almost looks like dew drops on the lens. Are they always in the same place in different images?
  6. The Astrozap sounds like a future investment. 😎
  7. Nice image, pretty much white on my screen with just a hint of purple. Some stars showing a little yellow. Depending on the angle of my screen there does seem to be some faint background noise but nothing I would worry about.
  8. Pretty good, I think more exposure time will be a benefit.
  9. Cheers mate, figured it out in the end. Used it in main camera, set the exposure to pretty short and hey presto. It might also have been a numpty error, plugging in before launching EKOS instead of after launch. Now to test fit the SX Trius and filter wheel.
  10. Hi , I seem to be having a little problem with capturing an image with Ekos and my GPCAM3 224C. I've tried playing with gain settings and exposure time and all I seem to get are blank white screens on capture and looping. Its only when I put my hand over the guide scope that anything can be seen. Tried it last night and all I got were dark grey shots. Anyone any suggestions if it might be a settings issue?
  11. Yup, definitely weaker and are not supposed to be used for initial unbreaking or final tightening of bolt. Depends on where and how its used. Outside in all weathers and getting rusty, constant hight torque tightening and loosening will speed up replacement time. If it's for a permanent fixing outside it will last years especially if its painted. If in constant use it will depend on how much stress its put under all the time as the threaded section can stretch (especially if over torqued) and it will gradually lose its strength and break. Could still last you years though.
  12. These images make the moon seem alive, great work.
  13. I'd be tempted to get a professional print done.
  14. The green halo looks like its picked up more detail. No idea how to get rid though.

Both lovely images but I think I prefer the colour tone of the first one.
  16. Lovely image, reds not too overpowering and the blues just coming through in the centre. I think thats a very well balanced quite natural looking shot.
  17. I had that problem as well, limited myself to the best second hand seals on here, Ebay and AstroBuySell and ended up with a complete package instead of just a scope.
  18. Cheers mate, yes its the 1800. Came s/h with loads of tooling and a hydraulic copy attachment.
  19. That's given @Mick W an choice of 4, thought we were supposed to help reduce his options.🤣 OK, pick the Stella Mira, has rave reviews and cheaper than the Esprit.
  20. I'd be tempted to put a another nut on the end to lock the weight in place.
