  1. Very nice image but not sure about the purple tint in the galaxy.
  2. Looks great to me, some luminance will make it even better.
  3. Not too bad mate, if you decrease the brightness you can get more detail. Then it's either practice to steady your hand or get a phone holder.
  4. I came across something like this, I think it was one of Adam Blocks' videos either on YouTube or his website.
  5. Stars seem to match better, nebulosity can be brought out with extra stretching with a mask.
  6. Some interesting colour combinations, I'm tending to like the third one. They all do seem a bit saturated though. Also a hell of a lot of stars in the area, star reduction often works wonders in bringing forward nebulosity in these situations.
  7. Funny enough, I'm liking the over saturation. Any chance of upping the green a hint to give the blue a little more teal colour ? That's as well as a less saturated version.😉
  8. Second ones a winner. Was going to say if you need a one off made I can muck around on my lathe. Just let me know dimensions.
  9. Maybe file a chamfer on the knurled bit thats in the way.
  10. A good first attempt. Yes a bit too saturated with colour. Stars look pretty good, quite often the Veil gets "hidden" by the number of stars but this looks good to me.
  11. I had a weird effect when doing Sii on the Crescent, one star was 3 times the size as the Ha subs. When processed it was quite a bright yellow star. I would put it down to more emissions towards the infra red, red dwarfs and giants maybe.
  12. Why not try a stick with a lens cloth padded on the end, or is that daft and dangerous.
  13. Super image, well done.
  14. Camera is fine, darks will cancel out the hot pixels in your images.
  15. Dithering will help with background noise but you will have to take darks to remove the hot pixels. For OSC I believe dark flats might do it as well but not sure.
  16. I use KStars/Ekos for capture and automation, Pixinsight for all processing. Both running native on Mac. KStars/Ekos also works with PHD2 and is often used on a Raspberry Pi as a server for remote control so you can stay warm inside. Connecting vie WiFi or ethernet cable. Pixinsight might seem expensive but it's very powerful and in the long term cheaper than a PhotoShop licence.
  17. Yup, detail's improved and the lower colour saturation looks more natural. I like both colour wise, well done.
  18. Looks great, well done.
  19. 10 or 12 seconds usually helps. I'm mono CCD as well so you might have to up the gain as well if longer exposures aren't enough.
  20. Excellent image though I am seeing some pinky red to the stars.
