  1. Is the area of Mexico more favorable for clear skies? Not that I could go there, but I'm concerned everywhere I look in the States that time of the year. Right now my plan is lower Missouri. It would be a 900 mile drive, which is the closest distance.
  2. I'll show my lack of experience with equipment, what do you mean when saying "under cut"?
  3. Nasa is now saying Artemis 2 will most likely be another unmanned launch, and be pushed to a later date. This will result in the planned moon landing also being delayed longer. The contractors are still dealing with issues!
  4. They just showed on our news channel that he will be speaking in Tampa on Jan. 25th. The topic will be what is coming up in the next 24 months. Being curious, I thought why not check and see what the ticket prices were going for. For the ones in low Earth orbit, $366.00 each! Now if you want to get up close in the orchestra pit, it's just $750.00 each! I guess I won't be going!
  5. But, can you be certain that it's not really small aliens using a cloaking device that makes their tiny ship look like a Chinese Lantern?🤔
  6. I like how Voxish started with the Moon. Remember as the terminator moves across the face of the Moon, the view changes every day and sometimes minute by minute as you watch! It is an incredible target!
  7. I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate an image like this of the HH! Excellent!
  8. Like others have said, plan on realigning the finder scope and doing a collimation!
  9. Even with a dual rig. That's a lot of exposure time! Shows though, that's an incredible image!
  10. Be patient for Mars. To say jokingly it's not going anywhere would be wrong. It's moving around in its orbit and will get better for viewing! There are lots of things to view, and like others have said, don't pass up the moon. It's incredible!
  11. I think it's obvious what you are doing with your spare time! That is an incredible image!
  12. 6 minutes would be amazing!
  13. That is an excellent widefield of the area!
  14. Do you see the images on your phone as it is taking them? This does look like an amazing piece of equipment.
  15. I kept looking at the mirror and finally said enough is enough. a little dish soap and distilled water. All back together, waiting for clear skies.
  16. Sorry to see your flooding problems. Perhaps you could take advantage of it. Open a seasonal water park. Swimming, tubing and maybe mud baths!
  17. I always thought it was a cross of stealth technology and hypersonic! I don't know how they track him and his reindeer!
  18. I'm glad I took advantage of last night! Clouded over with rain on the way.
  19. Viewed the area around the crater Gassendi for almost an hour. It's incredible when you read just how tall some of the crater walls are. Then to think how high some of the other mountains are. After Luna, focused on Jupiter. You could make out the MEBs quite well. Some details of other bands when my eyes adjusted. The moon made it hard to see, but the GRS was just a little less than a third across the planet!
  20. Still in North Florida, with me being here a week, I bought my scope. First clear skies and needed to unpack the car so I set it up and looked at the Sun. There nice areas with large spots, and four or five areas with groups of smaller spots showing. Hope it stays clear today and tomorrow.
  21. I've admitted often, I'm so humbled by someone with talent! From one who can't draw a straight line, that's incredible!
  22. 6 hours after a dinner party? Sounds like a late evening! But the image is amazing!
  23. Looking at the impact craters in images so clear is mesmerizing to me. Very nice images!
