I agree, my old eyes like the ED120!

Treated myself to a much needed case. We have a discount store called Harbor Freight. I picked this up today. My 10 year old granddaughter showed she's fitting right in my tribe. I misplaced my flashlight, finally found it under some mail on the table. Her comment, "maybe you should put your light in it, so you dont lose it, again!"

My fun was owning one of these for a couple years! Wish I had it again! I would put my grandkids in my lap!

Another addition for my new focuser. Had to get a new 2" barrel for my Canon to go prime focus.

We came through it with flying colours! Weather station says our area got 10" of rain in about 12 hours!

When I look at that image, or into what I can see in the vast night sky there is nothing there I see that I fear. There is NOTHING we here can do to change anything out there, so why suffer with any fear or anxiety? I take a bit of pride in what we are. A lifeform that has developed in its place in all of that. If there is other life out there in all of the possible worlds, there is a 50/50 chance they might not be developed as far as we are. If that's the case, I take a lot of pride in what we are. Maybe not in the things we have done to get here.

Saw that it was clear this morning, but I waited to have some coffee and let Luna get a little higher. When i finally went out, i realized Jupiter had been occulting Io. If i had been just 10 minutes earlier, i would have seen it pop into view. What i did see was it just a split frogs hair off the planet! How many arc secs are in a frogs hair!?🤔

Past two mornings I was able.to look through holes in the morning clouds at Jupiter and the moon. Only for about 30 minutes each.

So I bought a two speed focuser for my 8" reflector. The OTA came with the bare minimum. The day it was delivered, I got 1.5" of rain and clouds. The next day, I got 3.25" and clouds. Installed it today and the forecast is 80% chance of thunderstorms. Have I doomed the sunshine state?

Sadly, those who do things like this and other senseless acts do not qualify as people! And with all the goodness in most "peoples" hearts and souls, there will have to come a time when those guilty of things such as this are dealt with severely.

With my budget, I don't get to post here often. When I do spend on Astro gear, I feel like I'm in orbit. Upgrade focuser for my 8" reflector. Now if things would work out so I can get a good mount.
