  1. Definitely feels better to me, not easy to get back to sleep after being outside for couple of hours.
  2. Very nicely captured Mike, looks superb at the full size.
  3. Very good, lots of tiny Craterlets visible everywhere as well
  4. Still a good end result, plenty of detail visible there. What time were you imaging?
  5. Very nicely captured some fine details visible there.
  6. It does look quite battle scarred there!
  7. @vlaiv i have been thinking about this for a couple days, i wonder if you could expand on this a little please. I think understand the theory of having a long enough exposure to fill the pixels adequately. But doesnt the Histogram still play an important role in ensuring the image is not overexposed? Particularly in regards to the 70%-80% levels that are talked about during caprure tutorials. More than happy to start another thread or communicate directly if you prefer, as dont want to hijack this thread 🙂
  8. I loved my old PST, it gave me a great introduction in to H/A observing and imaging. I know were plenty of problems with them as well though.
  9. Nice close ups, some fine detail visible. Are you taking any calibration images when you capture?
  10. Some nice detail visible there even at that very short focal length, some clear skies would a pleasent surprise st the moment. It has been pretty poor recently, even by the low standards we are use to 🙂

  14. Very nicely captured Reggie, some nice detail visible there.
  15. WOW, what acracker of a Meteor! Very well captured, what a start for the new lens!
  16. I could feel the peace and tranquility of those cornfields, will browsing throught the images. Lovely start with your new lens.
  17. I think its a great looking image, perfect composition to my eyes. I had not heard of this location, so a quick search does show quite a few imges featuring the Milkyway. I think the anlge/aspect you have selected is better looking than all the ones i saw, all the others seem to be the other side of the rocks/steps.
  18. Nice looking image to start with, looking forward to seeing your new toy in action.
  19. A fine collection of Proms there, it would have made a nice animation.
  20. Fingers crossed for any clear skies, it would be a very refreshing change.
