  1. Very nicely captured Neil, the wide view is particularly pleasing to view.
  2. A fine looking disc, plenty of detail on those close ups as well
  3. Very nicely captured, hopefully some clear skies tomorrow at work
  4. A 2nd hand PST,DMK21au618 was my first venture into H/A imaging. I would bet it would still be the cheapest entry into H/A imaging. I still have the DMK, never had any real problems with newtons rings, i did have to get the nose piece shortened to achieve focus though.
  5. Definitely looks a bit bigger to me
  6. Is is growing, another AR on the way around as well
  7. The conditions were so different today from what Saturday was like. The seeing was clearly now where near as good, wish i had time to get the 120mm out so i could do a comparison between the apertures. Managed to drag a little detail out of one of the runs i did, but this is as good as it got. Still some granulations visible, but compared to Saturdays view 🙂
  8. Sounds fantastic, is imaging earlier in the morning an option for you. Before the temperature has started to rise?
  9. Plenty of promise there going forward i think Neil, some really nice details visible.
  10. Beautiful scenery and Solar close up. What a back drop for astronomy, what are skies like at night light pollution wise?
  11. A fine set of images there, some exquisite details visible
  12. Beautiful view of that Granulation, i tried again today but the seeing was very poor.
  13. Where did that eight years go? Not only was the cloud spoiling things today, but the seeing was dire as well from here

    Hello

Hi welcome to SGL from Pete in Bedfordshire
  15. Home made mounted baader 3.8 filter, approx aperture 190mm
  16. The temporary filter for the C9.25 paid off this morning i think. Conditions were not perfect still, but i think the results speak for themselves. These were captured at a very long Focal length, using a X3 Barlow so probably a bit over F30 (7000mm). Very pleased with the Granulation on display. Getting a couple of discs cut so i can increase the diameter of the filter from 190mm to 200mm. Takes a lot to please a miserable old Echo And The Bunnymen, but these did make me smile a lot 🙂 🙂 🙂
  17. A fine set of images
  18. Unfortunately missed it, i was imaging earlier and had to pack up
  19. Good to see you back Roger, very nice set of images
  20. Very nice disc, starting to look a little bare after all the excitement of this week.
