  1. Order placed for this beauty and sale agreed on the 130. Now the waiting game. Hopefully this is the scope that puts an end to my buying and selling roundabout, it seems as soon as I get them performing well I decide to sell.
  2. Adam is correct, dithering really is a must. What capture software are you using? I know Sgpro allows dithering without guiding.
  3. Selling the 130 will ease the bruising. I would assume it's specific to the 160 as the extender is also a corrector. Maybe they'll release one for the 130 too. You fancy a second one Mark? Dual visual, one for each eye!
  4. I think so too. Looks like the 130 will be up for sale soon.
  5. The extender makes it very versatile, should work well for Galaxies too.
  6. Just spotted that Takahashi are releasing a newly designed version of the old 160. Sitting nicely between the 130 and 180. I've been searching for a secondhand 180 but this might be a better option as it's lighter and easier to handle, at F/3.3 it's more forgiving and it's claimed to have better corection than the 180. In fact the most exciting feature of the new scope is that it will be available with a 1.5 extender giving a focal length of 800mm from 530mm at F/5. Two scopes in one😁 https://teleskop-austria.at/Epsilon160ED_Epsilon-160ED-nur-Tubus
  7. I think this really shows the potential of the Epsilon with a Osc, yes it's a pity about the stars but so many positives too. Colour and detail is great. Where are you with the collimation? Have Takahashi had any input yet?
  8. Another lovely image Brendan.👍
  9. Ruins many a good clear night. Nice Iris, maybe a little overcooked. I think if you try a more gentle approach to the process and work a little on the colour balance you could improve it. Sometimes less is more.
  10. A very striking image full of colour and vibrance with some great details on the right hand side. I agree turning the camera to get more of the nebula into the frame would be the way to go.
  11. Nice first light congratulations, that's some collection of cameras you have.
  12. Thanks Olly, it was your wonderful version that introduced me to this region. Thanks Mick, It is strange isn't it. Seems to be just hanging there away from everything. Thanks, I don't and there's very little information online at least about the area.
  13. Cool, how do you know this? Ya, I'll only be getting a 180 if one comes up second hand. Not much humour in me last night, clear sky but camera wouldn't connect, sorted that, then mount wouldn't connect, sorted that. Took an exposure and a big long trail, then mount started to make a grinding noise, got that sorted, then the mount physically moved about 2 cm in azimuth throwing off polar alignment. Then I had a whiskey😆
  14. Nice, I did find with my Asi2600 that I needed the flats to be taken at the same temperature as the lights and flat darks. I never needed to do this with my other cameras.
  15. Thanks Ciarán, I'd love to be able to upload the full res. Thanks Wim, it was nice to see all the different versions of the last image.
  16. Thanks Adrian. This is an image I got a few years ago with a 135 and Asi1600.
  17. Thanks Brendan, it's a great little scope. Hoping to get my hands on a 180 some day.
  18. Wonderful image Brendan.
