  1. I'm not an expert by any means and my only experience collimating newts is with the Epsilon, but that looks like collimation is off. I would expect symmetry in the flat were as you have darks areas at the bottom and not at the top. Please get another opinion with this i'd hate to lead you down the wrong path.
  2. Thanks, I use a zwo oag, and screwed into that is my zwo filter drawer. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-accessories/zwo_fd_m42.html
  3. How do your flats look? When mine is collimated perfectly the vignetting is centered on the sensor.
  4. When you're used to -25 then -10 is a poor result I suppose. I wouldn't discount narrowband with it either. I shot the veil with mine and a duo band filter and it turned out okay. 2 panel mosaic at 4hrs per panel.
  5. Is your lum from the Tak overpowering the colour from the 80ed I wonder? As an aside, how have you found the Epsilon to handle? Any issues with collimation?
  6. I have one too, managed to get an early one in January. You find the cooling poor? I have no problem getting to -20 in winter and -10 in summer, I find it really only needs -10 as the subs are so clean. How have you been calibrating? I found darks are not needed, so I use my master dark flat as a dark.
  7. Great potential in that, the 533 looks like a great sensor.
  8. Nice one Gorann, this looks like it's jumping out of my screen. You're really making up for not having any imaging time in the summer.
  9. Very nice Adam, I think Ciaran is on to something with his suggestion, fast scopes love a colour cam.
  10. Good to see you posting images again Peter, and a fine one at that. Dusty, sharp and detailed. Worth the wait.
  11. Nice first light. I know what you mean when uploading any image, look so sharp and full of detail on the computer, they always loose something when uploaded.
  12. For only 4.5hrs and no lum i think this turned out great. Why not keep going? I'm a broadband nut but i also like a good narrowband image. Broadband is so much more difficult especially from poorer skies, but i like to think if i could see these nebulae with my own eyes then that's how they'd look.
  13. One of the best images i've seen taken with that filter. Nicely done
  14. Lovely image Yves. Great fov with the full frame sensor.

  16. Hi. Could you upload the frame without the crop for perspective?
  17. I think an Epsilon might have been cheaper at this rate😄 although where's the fun in that. I just finished removing my primary to effectively mask off the clips with a black marker😯, a very crude effort. You're going to hate me, even after removing the mirror clips when I reassembled it still held collimation. 🤭 Might be worth having a mask made up, anyone have a 3d printer?
