  1. Hi Vlaiv no i have,nt but i only have 1.25 Filters, and even being very close to the sensor i get vignetting in all four corners,am struggling to flat them out as well.Further away i would imaging it would be worse. I have recently read that this camera is prone to this issue.Funnily enough it only shows itself with Narroeband Filters. Mick.
  2. Hi Guys. I recently purchased the ZWO ASI 1600MM Pro,but i have found the microlensing and bad halos a big problem especially with Narrowband Filters. I,m thinking about switching back to a ccd.Just before i do that i wonder if anyone knows of a ZWO cmos mono that does.nt suffer with this problem.Similar price range. Cheers. Mick.
  3. Hi this image was taken with my ED 102 scope and a ZWO ASI 1600MM camera fitted with a 12nm Astronomik Narrowband Filter. As i stretch the image their is a large halo surrounding this bright star. The star is bad enough, but how do i tackle this giant halo.I dont have Pixinsight, but i do have photo-shop.It seems to be more of a problem when using narrowband fillters. It does the same on the O111 and S11. The image was run through Starnet++ Has anyone got a solution to this. Hope you can help. Mick.
  4. Some lovely detail in these images, the colours are not quite to my taste, but well done on producing 3 fine images. Mick.
  5. It is Martin yes. I really do love reflection Nebulae,if i can find them. Mick.
  6. This is what happens when you forget to realighn the scope between sessions. The luminance was the sum of 30 120 second subs taken with my ED102 and ZWO ASI 1600MM, before i was clouded out. About a week later i managed just under 2hrs of subs in R/B before again being clouded out.I had to synthesize the green. I knew the clouds were comming but was desperate to just get something. The camera had been off the scope for several days, and just plain forgot to alighn with the previous data. The Weather has been absolutely awful here on the Yorkshire East Coast. Anyway. Cheers. Mick.
  7. Exerllent image here Steve, nice and smooth, the background is a little bright for me,but thats just personal taste. Have,nt heard of this one either. On my list. Mick.
  8. Hi. I dont have any experience with either APP or PI but thats a nice image, and that star field must have been a nightmare to deal with. Lovely wide field. Mick.
  9. All in all a nice image considering your problems, which of course we all have. Mick.,
  10. It certainly is. Thanks for the comment. Mick.
  11. Hi. This was taken one night last week, its a total of 1.25hrs each in Ha/RGB. It was a struggle to try and process this Nebulae, and i came up with al lsorts of colour combinations, which looked pleasing, but the stars did not look right, especially the colour. In the end i settled for an image that i think maybe closest to its true nature, being predominantly Hydrogen emission. Cheers. Mick.
  12. Nice image here. I always think this is a hard one to process. So many stars to try and control. Well done. Mick.
  13. Thanks very much indeed. A bit grim in East Yorks at the moment though. Mick.
  14. Its all there,an exerllent image for 56mins in Bortle 9 skies. Well done. Mick.
  15. Yes. Thankyou for the comment. Mick.
  16. Thats tough,if one thing i have learnt through all these years is that this hobby regulary turns round and bites you on the b-m.It can be so frustrating. Hope you have got something to go at,and better luck next time. Mick.
  17. Cheers, cant resist a clear night even with the Moon. Mick.
  18. Hu. I took this last night under a full Moon. The only filter to combat the glow was my Ha Filter at 12nm.Even then i had gradients. It was taken with my 102mm refractor and ZWO cmos camera. It is a stack of 49 x180 second exposures, and calibrated with darks and flats. The extent of the dark Nebulae is fascinating to see. I hope to add colour at some point. But i think black and white can also add some perspective. Cheers.Mick.
