  2. Thanks Guys, appreciate the comments. Mick.
  3. Hi David. You can post as a png,but was trying to delete it . But it can stay.🙃
  4. Hi. I took this reflection Nebulae a couple of nights ago.It was taken with a ED102 scope and my Canon 450D DSLR. I took about 5hrs of 180 secs at 800 iso.I was,nt very hopeful for this as its faint and the noise was terrible, but a bit of jiggery pokery in APP and Photo-Shop,and i,m fairly please with the result. Know its not perfect, but i can live with that. I took bias and Flats. Mick.
  5. Hi. Taken over two nights with my ED 102 and my Atik 314L+ mono ccd. I took 3hrs of Red and 3hrs of Blue. The Green was a mixture of them both.No Luminance was taken. The subs were 600 secs each. The Moon was present, but did,nt really effect the subs too much as it was low in the South. The first night was a little hazy,so had some noise to take care of. Calibrated as per usual. Mick.
  6. Hi. Located in Cepheus this dark Nebulae is part of a much larger Nebulae, that is more suited to wide field imaging. It was taken with my ED102 refractor and Atik 314L+ mono ccd. I took 3hrs of Ha in 600 secs exposure, and 2hrs of O111 again in 600 sec exposures. I used the O111 for both the green and blue channels. Calibrated with Bias and Flats. Mick.
  7. Ok Thanks. I will have a look at your suggestions. Mick.
  8. Hi. Is there a way to connect my older starlight xpress ccd camera to APT without using Ascom.I cant get the Starlight Ascom driver to work. If so how do i do this. Thanks. Mick.

Beautiful image Rodd, cant believe you,ve virtually got the core resolved. Mick.
  10. Really nice image. The ghost is well visible.
  11. Some lovely detail in there, and lots going on. I would suggest trying to sharpen the image a little bit, seems a little soft. Anyway nice image indeeed. Mick.
  12. Thanks Pete. Yes it maybe a tad dark, but i basically brought the black point of the histogram of both colours up to just before the data.Maybe it could be backed off a little. Will have a look. Mick.
  13. Hi Vlaiv. I eclose the stack of around 16 images of the Ha.As you see the stars are quite faint in some areas.I did not process the Ha and O111 with the stars, but used Starnet++ to remove them. Theirfore the original image was unstretched untill starless. Then just put the stars back as were.Prefer to see the Nebulae rather than the stars. Mick.
  14. Hi. The very popular Dumbell. This Planetary lends itself well to HOO. It was taken with my ED 102 F7 scope with a x6 reducer and an Atik 314L+. It does,nt need the reducer, but too lazy to take it off. It consists of 2.5 hrs in both Ha and O111 in 10 min subs. Both are Astronomik 12nm. Calibrated with Bias and Flats. Cheers. Mick.
  15. Thanks Bryan. Yes its an old camera, but as you say a little workhorse. Mick.
  16. Thanks Carole, comming from you thats very much appreciated. Mick.
  17. Thanks Lee. Yes i had a difficult patch when i decided to switch to a cmos camera.I just could,nt get on with it at all,so have reverted back to good old ccd. Mick.
  18. Hi. This was taken on Monday night when a short window opened here on the East Coast. It is of course the very popular Pacman Nebulae,to be found in Cassiopia. It was taken with my ED 102mm Refractor and an Atik 314L+ ccd.The image is a Narrow Band image using the HOO combination. Both the Ha and the O111 were 600 secs apiece,to give a total of 2hrs for each Filter. The Filters were Astronomik 12nm wavelength. All processing was done in Photo-Shop,and the subs had been calibrated before hand. I processed two images to give a different a appearence,to see which i prefered. But i cant make up my mind, but perhaps the Red has the edge but it is close.(But the difference is subtle). Cheers anyway. Mick.
  19. Image is great Rodd, but i cant get over how perfectly round your stars are.I know only 30sec subs, but ungided thats a feat on its own. Mick.
