My first post her. I'm interested in astrophotography. I think i've pushed my Nikon Brtidge camera near to it's limit with the photo on my avatar.

i want to get some seriously shartp pictures like I've seen others get, so I'm, waiting for  a Skywatcher 150PL to replace my Bresser 76mm refractor which wasn't bad if you got good seeing and don't push the magnification. Too wobbly for photo though.

Two questions that I can't seem to find definitivce answers to despite much googling:

1 - Registax 6 - it hangs a lot in Vista and Windows 8, and sometime refuse to stack at all. Should i try Registax 5 or is it fixed?

2 - which webscam? The Philips SPC900/880 is obviously a first choice but seems as rare as hen's teeth what's agood second choice?

I collected my Skywatcher 150PL this evening, all biots present and correct except the finderscope 0-ring. I am overwhelemed by the size of it - I expected teh EQ3 mount to be a little less robust...
