Telescope on order - roll on Saturday!

Hi all,

I've just registered on this website. Been into astronomy ever since the Apollo days - I am old enough to remember watching a splash down on TV - must have been around '71/72. Now I have finally taken the plunge and bought a Celestron Nexstar 127 from FLO. Due tomorrow. Got myself a powerpack from Maplins today, so I am itching to get started. I keep reading all the good advice on these forums. I'll let you know how I get on!

Hi, Welcome to SGL. I too remember Apollo in vivid detail, I even remember my Dad taking me into the garden to view Sputnik shortly after it was launched!!! I look forward to buying a scope but am still deciding what to get. The advice on these pages is excellent. Good luck with yours when it arrives.
