Nice Binos in Selfridges

They can be had for half the price elsewhere. Typical Selfridges mark-up.

But these are only the 'MT' versions. The ED version is twice the price.

Apparently 45 degree eyepieces are available.

Indeed - I probably should explain that to my kids, who I think left Selfridges a bit depressed and thinking they’d never be able to afford any nice things in life.

APM and Oberwerk are your friends if you fancy a slightly smaller pair that can have angled and changeable eyepieces… though you’ll have to supply your own mount.

If I were going to spend 11 grand on a visual observing setup, it wouldn't be that one!

As well as disliking the price, I take exception to Selfridge's inability to use capital letters properly. How very parvenu of them, my dears.

Talking of parvenu, Olly, I think you have been hoist by your own petard. 

The retail emporium is Selfridges, also known as Selfridges & Co. It is operated by Selfridges Retail Ltd (how very mundane of them). So it would be “Selfridges’ inability”.

Oh, I thought it was on show at Sid Selfridge's shop, just down the road from where I lived in Scunthorpe-Under-Railbridge. I should've known because Sid used to sell fridges, mainly...

I expect most of that ridiculous price goes on London rates.  It wouldn't be worth getting a job there, even with staff discounts.
