I have just received these cheap and cheerful snow boots after a recommendation from a fellow SGL member...thought I'd give them a go for the price and honestly, they are fantastic, they really are

Thank you @callisto, just purchased a pair of these in the hopeful optimism that I'll have clear skies before the nights start warming up again 👍

I just use a pair of 1000 mg thinsulate Irish setter hunting boots and two pairs of socks.  Yesterday the wife bought a pair of Muck Arctic boots for just a bit over 100 bucks.  They are rated down to -40.  I may end up going that route as well.

Lee I found getting them on required hopeful optimism coupled with bad language. I hope yours fit better!

Thank you for the advice haha, I'm hoping as I'm a size 9 and could only order 9.5-10. 5 I shouldn't require the bad language haha 👍

The boots have arrived very quickly, they are lovely and comfy and even with a pair of thick thermal socks on I didn't have to concede to any blue tones of language 😂

Brilliant. I'm a size 10 trainer/boot and got the same size as you. Extra space is the toe but tight in the width and the shall we say my 'sturdy' legs didn't help. Hopefully they will stretch. 🙄

Funny how some equipment threads barely break a page full but this keep feet warm thread is heading into five pages, I guess everyone has a bad case of cold feet especially when it comes to AP. 😂

Well here in England we’ve just experienced the warmest NYE on record.

I hear that some on here have dispensed with fir lined boots and have resorted to wearing thongs

Very true. I have to sit out with my set up when imaging as I'm in a communal area, the chance to get cold feet would be nice, since 13th October to now only had one session and it was full moon, hoping 🙄 to image the witches head nebula before Orion goes

I think @JeremyS you are beginning to develop a shoe fetish 😉 😂

🤔. No, but if one is struggling to see through the eyepiece, there are solutions. A thong for every occasion….
