What you interested in, with respect to astronomy

Viewing moon, planets and other DSO, or eventually venturing into AP

Depending on what you want to achieve as your ultimate goal, will depend on type of scope to purchase

For viewing, then cannot go past a Dob, if want to do AP, then you will need a scope and mount which tracks

Before rushing out purchasing something, go along to your local astronomy club, and members there only too happy to show you their setup, and give advise on equipment available
