hi , im so so new to this, my wife got me a celestron travel scope 70, where do I start

Hi & welcome to SGL.

That will be a creditable starter scope, which will start to open up the universe to you. Where to start? I would say the first step is to start "learning the sky". A planisphere can be a great help there. And then just get outside and explore.

There seem to be many verions of that book on Amazon. Are they all the same, or is there a specific one we should be looking at?

From what I can tell, they’re all the same by the same author just printed in different backs. (Hardback, softback, spiral bound) so they’ll all have the same contents inside
