Thanks Sara, luckily there is no race involved here, I was just lucky with the weather (did I REALLY say that here in the UK?) so I look forward to seeing your two pane version of this when it's done.

Great image. In an entirely unrelated conversation with Steve (about his book, which I'm about to explore) I confessed to being a deconvolution ignoramus. The book, and this thread and image, have given me a wake up call! Barry, I'll check out your tutorial as well.
