What did the postman bring?

Bits beget bits...

The Gods of Astronomy clearly approved of my Hypercam purchase and showed their approval by having this canon Eos filter drawer adaptor show up on the forum for a great price.  Now I can use my vintage glass easily.

Further approval was yesterday when I found a side by side mount so I can get a bit cleaner setup for the mount (once it arrives)

Postie attended and went before I got to the door sadly, have now taken a treck to the sorting office.
Another old friend returns, an itch that needed a scratch, but somehow I think a few more will be required!
Morpheus 12.5mm at last a Morph in the Morpheus carry case.

And first photo at my new home office desk and room, my own desk.

Postman dropped off my new dew 4 channel controller, 4 dew heater bands and a few cables. After all this I have just realized that I forgot the most important cable doh! 🙄

W&W and DewControl is all great kit, well made in the UK.
Easy to forget a critical cable purchase.

I bought my 130pds just before this got released.  If I'd known it was coming I would have waited!  It's a phenomenally good price for the kit when you consider it comes with the coma corrector.

Spot on! Triple coil tapped too so much more versatility than expected from a LP. What’s in your arsenal?

Yes I know, I’ve now purchased the missing cable. Bye the way, Morpheus eyepieces can be addictive. It caused me to buy the whole range and the storage case. Worth every penny.

Placed a wanted ad for a 2" nosepiece compatible with my MKIII Baader zoom.

Thanks to Sheila, who came up with one for me..note-this is not the same as a standard Baader 2" nosepiece, this one is threaded specifically for insertion into the Baader Zoom body (all models).

I love Baader's connectivity solutions..I can now use the zoom as a 2", as a 1.25" and with or without the Hyperion Zoom barlow in both formats..👍

With 2" nosepiece..zoom barlow just threads up the inside onto the bottom of the zoom body.

With zoom lens in place inside 2" nosepiece..

Zoom with 2" nosepiece into 2" Clicklock into Baader Zeiss BBHS prism..

1.25" nosepiece with Zoom barlow threaded onto the bottom, for use in Baader T2 prism with my Vixen SP102 which can't take 2" fittings.

Wow those are some beauties!! Haven’t heard of Marlique; PRS looking headstock and sg looking body is killer. I’ve got that same Vox pedal as you, though it’s recently died. Have to open it up and rewire as it’s killer with a small amp.

Will look forward to some side by side comparisons (un tracked of course !) You’ll be on the slippery slope to an expensive upgrade path before long… 😀

Best,
T

Despite heavy rain earlier, I managed to get 5 minutes outside with SW 200P and the new Barlow, plus BST StarGuider 25mm and 12mm eyepieces.

A quick look at at moon with the 25mm and Barlow gave a similar view to the 12mm eyepiece, but dimmer obviously. There was no obvious sign of chromatic aberration, that I could see.  The moon was partially obscured by hazy cloud.

I tried the same set up on Jupiter and found similar results. Any aberrations where due to the atmosphere, with Jupiter being low down and poor seeing.

There shouldn't be any CA as your scope's a reflector......😉

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Baader 8-24 zoom come with both 1.25 and 2" adapter?. Mine did.
