Damiens are faked... he does a lot of painting on his C14 images... I think he stepped over the line to what is a photo or true imaging and a graphic... now the last few he published were taken with a 1m Cassegrain in Chile, so doesn't count any more. you can't race using a SKYLINE GTR35 against a Toyota corolla and think you're a better driver.

I try to be very careful when rendering so the image is smooth without looking like a painting.
That's one of the reasons why I've never used the Photo Shop, it's a very strong temptation to go beyond the limits of common sense.
