Sol WL, HA, Proms AR2665. 12-7-17 09.00ish "updated"

Wow stunning skys thismorrning, best this year in south wales. the AR is looking very nice in both lights, theres some very nice but not huge proms scattered around the disc.

ive still loads of data to cook "160 gb" so will update when done.

AR2665. ive change ir cut filter to a ZWO screwed into the bottom of the quark instead of a badder 2in in my wedge and its made finer detail

 heres a shot without the reducer, those darn lines are back, pretend you carnt see them, and delete them from your memory

and another with reducer, think when I get a mono cam ill beable to use the quark without the reducer.

thanks Michael, that's a shame mate, hope it improves for you, thismorrning was one of those wow moments, when I first put the zoom in the quark to line the rig up with sol, the detail just smacked me in the face, outstanding claritiy like the atmos wasn't there . charl.

Nice, I like the close up on the spot.

I presume you take this one with the Quark.  Can you put a CCD into the Quark housing, or can you only use a DSLR due to focal plane lengths etc...... ??

thanks Sean, yes by the power of the Quark, trouble is it dos all the work and leaves me twiddling my thumbs, only a qwick processing ,needs less than a min in photoshop. a ccd is a must with a quark , mono if you have one, I don't so use colour and convert that's why I get those darn lines from the converting processs, dslr don't work too good with quarks, think its due to the size of the chip. charl.

Just had a sucker hole appear, rushed and set up now it's gone grey again, when I set up early on other days the Sun never appears
