Think i'll do some Solar projection for this one, i did get some solar film but it was full of pin holes :shock: so that went straight in the bin :?.

Should be good if it's clear.

I been set up since 5.30am Its now 8.40am and there is some clear sky but its not in the right place

I seem to be fortunate for the moment, clear but hazy sky, some transient cloud, and a good view to the south from the back garden, the scope is out, a 20mm EP seems to give the best reflection on the blotter from my desk.

what time is the eclipse ?, when I've just checked on starry night think it said it starts about 10.40, all confused with the clocks changing !

Wall to wall blue sky here on the dorset / somerset border. It starts at 10.40ish... I think the BBC are still talking in GMT DOH!

At a gess about 11.30ish final contact is a 12.20pm
