The Moon is only super bright a few days each month and then it only has to be cloudy and you don't get to observe anyway. The diagonal will be a lot more useful, it will show stuff the wrong way up so to speak but then as other's have said there is no right way up when looking upwards.

They would be identical in performance. Believe the Stelkarvue diagonal is actually made by Synta (Skywatcher).

i'm torn. The guy with the Stellarvue ( a company in California) offered to come to within a few dollars of the GSO. It "looks" nicer made. OTOH I worry about used in this case. Optics don't like abuse. He offered $5 off I think had he come $10 I would have bit. I guess having a pretty viewfinder matters less than functionality.

I need a beer to clear my head.

I bought the GSO. I really liked the look of the other one but new is new.
