During Mercury transit, I'd stopped to change memory card, and that's when a wide bodies twin engined aircraft passed across the centre of the sun - about a quarter of yours.

I've been trying to find flight path details to try and plan a deliberate attempt at this.

Although, as typing, I was thinking that I could set up motion detection on a guide scope with same centre as the imagine, and use that to trigger the main cam.

Hmm - one to think through some more
