Flare 8th August 16:00

Caught my first semi profile flare today. At 16:00 hours I set the Lunt up with the IMGOH camera and reducer to get a full disc and spotted the bright flare in profile shown at the bottom

Panic ensued as I grabbed it then swapped to 2x barlow hoping it would still be there and it was. Managed 3 shots over the next 30 minutes

 

Then had a look at the other stuff on there

Great shots, I had my PST out earlier, caught the huge hedgerow but missed the flare although the region looked very bright...
