Hi a few words to introduce myself.

I live near Farnham Surrey, UK and I am a member of the Farnham Astronomical society (of which I am the Membership secretary).

I own 2 telescopes, a TAL-1 and a 12" Meade LX200 GPS. The latter was to be housed in an observatory at my house in France but that came to an end a few years ago so it is sitting in its box as it is too big and heavy for casual use. I plan to sell it and buy something smaller and lighter, 8" SCT is likely. The society does a number of public and private observing evenings so the need for portability is a prime driver along with the optics.

My main interest is planetary observing but enjoy tours of the night sky.
