Greetings earthlings!

Hello everyone.  After 50 years, I have decided me and the wife will take up a new hobby.  Something we can both do - together - for a change.   And we're excited about observing!

I am a long time computer programmer for a giga-sized (the means billion$ in revenue) company, musician (piano and guitar), and just all around computer geek (love to play games...  even at 50).

Hoping to make some new friends here!

Got me a few books and two pairs of 15-70 celestron binocs to get started in this hobby, so me and the wife can toss out a huge blanket on the front lawn and cruise the skies!!  Together!

Hi TenBears welcome to the lounge

and welcome to you both to this great hobby, you have done

the right thing getting yourselves bins, they are the best way 

to learn the night sky, and they will give you lot's of great views.
