A Quick M27 before bedtime

Last night was the best so far this year for me.. clear all night, with wonderful seeing & this weekends work cancelled.. I just had to stay out all night. So before packing in I had to seek out an old friend...

M27 is one of my favorites, yet I've only been able to try imaging it once before.. a couple of years ago now & before my CCD days. It's up too late and low in the south east and with rapidly diminishing darkness if the weather is poor this time of year, I've missed it.

At 03:57 this morning it had cleared the treeline and my first sub rolled in... Ahh.. hello old friend... however, by 05:19 I had to concede to the blue skies and the crescendo of the dawn chorus.

So, this is a Work In Progress.. for yet another year probably
