  1. My Az-Gti has ceased to function: red light does not flash when switch is turned on and wifi connection can not be found by iPhone app. installed fresh set of new batteries but still it does not switch on. Plugged a 12volt battery eliminator and it seems to work, as light flashes and wifi connects!. Checked leads in battery holder, looks ok. Maybe a loose contact inside? Taking mount and a Heritage 130to Argentina/Chile for eclipse and dark skies, so battery operation a must. Any suggestions appreciated.
  2. Does anyone run their AZ-GTi using StarSense? Considering it and have some questions. 1. Can the mount still operate on WiFi 2 .How does the mount get time and location data. 3. Can I run SkySafari 5 plus? Thanks for any advice offered.
  3. I see there is now a firmware upgrade allowing the az-gti to be used in eq mode . this is exciting for me as i have a staradventurer as well and could use the wedge from it with the az-gti to have a full goto eq mount has anyone done this yet?
  4. After being initially excited at getting my first mount. I found that the instructions that came with it aren't much help. I'm trying to use the mount with my canon camera and 70-200 lens. I know I have to align the mount to the celestial pole but do you do this before turning the mount on? How does the mount know if you are using the camera on the left or right side? Sorry for what are simple questions but I feel once I get these sorted I can start enjoying my new hobby instead of being frustrated at the first step.
