Bonjour everybody,

I live 10 km east of Lyon and I'm sixty but still mad enough to have built an obsy in the yard last year. We had max. 3 clear nights here since it was finished last october. Nevermind, they say astronomy requires a lot of patience...

Hi JL and welcome to SGL :) We had a nice clear spot for once last night, after all that snow, but we also had a very bright Moon. We now have nice change for the week of rain and gales :mad: enjoy your Astronomy as and when you are able :)

Greetings! We were just discussing the night skies over that part of France last night - my wife's "marraine" lives at Grandris (NW of Lyon) and we watched the Perseid meteor shower there last August. Lovely dark skies.
