The eyecups on those tend to be known as face cups - they are that big

The actual eye lens is not that large though, but there are some big lumps of glass inside, hence the bulk and weight.

Great views indeed John. I have only had a couple of brief sessions with it but seen enough to confirm this big grenade is a top quality piece of kit.

I've had a Nirvana (same ep as UWAN just Skywatcher branded) for a couple of years now and I love it, in my 10" Dob it gives me nearly 2 degrees and that is just about perfect for low power sweeps of the milky way. Only ep I would consider to be an improvement is the Nagler 31T5 and that is mostly down to the eye cup on the Nirvana being a bit hard. Enjoy using is.
