Hi everyone,

After months of looking in here, getting loads of free - and slightly sneaky - advice just by reading others' posts, I've decided I really want to get involved, and I've made my second astronomy purchase (1st being a rather cheap Tasco reflector many years ago). It's a skywatcher 127 SC on an EQ3-2 mount, and I am really looking forward to learning the night sky properly. I've decided to go the purists' route (ie massive light pollution, small aperture, unguided mount, and I live in a flat with no garden :)) as I feel that if I'm still enthusiastic after a year of that, then I can justify something a little more 'substantial'...

I pick it up tomorrow, so apologies for the next 2 weeks of cloudy skies!

ps Anyone near Esher a member of an astronomy club, or know of one?
