  1. Pegasus also work well with INdI...and FYI, FLO now own Hitecastro so ask them about the INdI driver, and see if there will be any development, also ask on the INdI forum...if there is no driver, there will be a high chance that someone on there will create one... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  2. That collimation looks pretty darn close to me, something else is at play there...maybe a reflection from the filter... πŸ‘
  3. Yes that is the one....you put desiccant tablets inside the tube, and screw into the port on the camera, and it will then soak up any moisture from inside the camera, this is to be done when not in use... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  4. There will be an optimum temp, but it will vary from one CCD camera to another, as for the colder the better, no, as if too cold it will just ice up. a good start would be -10, and I mean -10, not just -10 under ambient... My SX cameras have argon filled CCD chambers, so no air or moisture inside so nothing to freeze, but your camera is not airtight, so it will always have air in there which will hold moisture to freeze...the desiccant stick, if you have one, will remove a lot but not all... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  5. As has been said before by @PeterCPC here is the item you need.... https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-m48-camera-adapter.html
  6. Hmmm, most unscrew....maybe most new ones, but I have never had one that unscrews until my Tak.... ☹️ That Flattener is designed to go on the end of the skywatcher focuser tube, which does unscrew, but the OP has a Baader focuser and not sure about those... πŸ€”πŸ€”
  7. Can someone explain β€œAlpaca” to me please... πŸ˜€
  8. Well if you are getting -5 in 20 degree ambient, that is -25 so that is pretty good....for this camera....it’s between the -20 to -30 as those quotes are β€œbelow ambient temps” Imaging outside at night it will be much much lower ambient so you should get -10 to -15 easily... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  9. Hmmmm, doesnt look too rubbish to me... πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  10. Gargle it..... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  11. It’s this camera... https://www.modernastronomy.com/shop/cameras/cooled-ccd/qhy-cooled-ccd-cameras/qhy-imgoh-mono/
  12. If they are not 1/4” then they will me M6. πŸ‘
  13. Agreed.... πŸ‘ he’s had the last word now... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  14. Hahahahah, that will never happen.... I use it to keep in touch with family on the other side of the world, and so do many others, but if you don’t need for these type of reasons, then fine, but have a thought for those that do....πŸ‘
  15. Your loss then as far as good priced secondhand kit.... πŸ‘
  16. There are also four or five FB groups of people selling secondhand kit.... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  17. Hi, first of all put some bits of tape on the retaining ring and onto the inside edge of the tube so you can put it back exactly the same way, then when you remove that ring, but a mark on the edge of the glass and also on the inside of the tube, so you can put the glass in exactly the same orientation, there may well me a mark already on the glass as this is usually done when built. then there should be some small cork or maybe other material, packers around the glass, don’t loose these, and make sure you put them back evenly around the glass then holding the secondary housing remove the glass, but do this with the tube horizontal or slightly pointing down, so no bits go inside the tube, clean with a brand new untouched micro fibre cloth with Baader wonder fluid, spray it on and then gently wipe over until the liquid has evaporated... Then fit back by doing the reverse, it is very important to put all back in the same orientation as it was.... HTH πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  18. Yes, many people use those with ASC, including me for a while... πŸ‘πŸ˜€ as long as it fits the mount on the pi camera...
  19. Send it back and ask for a refund on the camera, you should not be expected to buy an a item and it not work....and then you have to start messing with it..... πŸ‘πŸ˜€ Those cameras are not easy to fix, and as you say not much, if any info online, and you could make it worse without correct info....
  20. That weight will only work if you use a vixen type bar, it won’t fit on a losmandy.... πŸ‘ edit, the Losmandy version is the second one on the list marked as 3”
  21. I am sorry but I completely disagree, an item can be used but still be in perfect condition...you just can’t expect to get a new price for it...I have a scope I bought secondhand and was not used much at all by the previous owner, and I am extremely fussy, when I went to see it, I inspected it all very very closely, and it was totally as new, and completely unmarked, not even a fingerprint on the tube, so it does happen, but I did only pay 70% of the new price.... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  22. No, that’s deffo not an ETX60, it’s the DS....but not sure on aperture... And no the Aux is not for a phone, it’s for other Meade attachments, such as GPS and focuser modules..
  23. I thought at first it was a new camera they had released, as they do a range of SV105, 205, and 305....
  24. I think that is the same scope as RVO are now selling under there own name... Magbe not as there’s is a 72mm, so ignore me, but seems good spec for the money....comes with an optical report too... πŸ‘
  25. And here, and states you can have it for the 6th July.... πŸ‘ https://www.raig.co.uk/skywatcher-refractor-esprit-120-ed-apo-optical-tube-b27a/
