  1. Ok, you missed my point about the individual discussion with the other person on the thread....no worries....πŸ‘
  2. Yes I get that, but we were talking about imaging pixel scale not guiding....what is the point in imaging at less than 2 arcsec / pixel if the seeing will not allow, that was my point...? @michael8554 said I should be....
  3. Yes, but he was saying I need to image at 1 arcsec / pixel when seeing only allows 2 max... not guiding...
  4. This does not make sense, why do you need a resolution that is more than the seeing will allow, thats pointless... πŸ€” if your seeing will only allow a max of 2 arcsec/pixel why should you try and image at 1 . it’s the other way round
  5. Well I have no choice with that, as I have my imaging scope and imaging camera already....And seeing In the U.K. does not allow much below 2.0 arcsec/pixel anyway... My question was about the guiding part of it.... but thanks anyway...πŸ‘
  6. Ok, so I found an online calculator, and this is what is gave me, putting in the SX lodestar x2 as a guide cam choice, as I was considering one....but don’t know if this is good or not... πŸ€”
  7. Hello, I recently bought a Takahashi FSQ 85 imaging scope, f5.3 and an Tak FS60 f5.9 for use as a guide scope amongst other jobs... My imaging camera is an SXVR M25c Camera with 7.8 micron pixels, so all that being said what would be a good guide camera, ie pixel size to look for..? Thanks in advance. πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  8. Very good....which I was that skilled... πŸ‘πŸ˜€ I too use the Baader FD system and find it excellent...
  9. Nothing to feel ridiculous about here....Excellent..... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  10. I thought the Espirits come with R&P focusers.... πŸ€”
  11. Love them both, but the Top one is my fav too... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  12. Pegasus also work well with INdI...and FYI, FLO now own Hitecastro so ask them about the INdI driver, and see if there will be any development, also ask on the INdI forum...if there is no driver, there will be a high chance that someone on there will create one... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  13. That collimation looks pretty darn close to me, something else is at play there...maybe a reflection from the filter... πŸ‘
  14. Yes that is the one....you put desiccant tablets inside the tube, and screw into the port on the camera, and it will then soak up any moisture from inside the camera, this is to be done when not in use... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  15. There will be an optimum temp, but it will vary from one CCD camera to another, as for the colder the better, no, as if too cold it will just ice up. a good start would be -10, and I mean -10, not just -10 under ambient... My SX cameras have argon filled CCD chambers, so no air or moisture inside so nothing to freeze, but your camera is not airtight, so it will always have air in there which will hold moisture to freeze...the desiccant stick, if you have one, will remove a lot but not all... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  16. As has been said before by @PeterCPC here is the item you need.... https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-m48-camera-adapter.html
  17. Hmmm, most unscrew....maybe most new ones, but I have never had one that unscrews until my Tak.... ☹️ That Flattener is designed to go on the end of the skywatcher focuser tube, which does unscrew, but the OP has a Baader focuser and not sure about those... πŸ€”πŸ€”
  18. Can someone explain β€œAlpaca” to me please... πŸ˜€
  19. Well if you are getting -5 in 20 degree ambient, that is -25 so that is pretty good....for this camera....it’s between the -20 to -30 as those quotes are β€œbelow ambient temps” Imaging outside at night it will be much much lower ambient so you should get -10 to -15 easily... πŸ‘πŸ˜€
  20. Hmmmm, doesnt look too rubbish to me... πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ‘
  21. Gargle it..... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  22. It’s this camera... https://www.modernastronomy.com/shop/cameras/cooled-ccd/qhy-cooled-ccd-cameras/qhy-imgoh-mono/
  23. If they are not 1/4” then they will me M6. πŸ‘
  24. Agreed.... πŸ‘ he’s had the last word now... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  25. Hahahahah, that will never happen.... I use it to keep in touch with family on the other side of the world, and so do many others, but if you don’t need for these type of reasons, then fine, but have a thought for those that do....πŸ‘
