  1. Hi all, just got my Pegasus UPB V2 set up and working quite nicely with Ekos. The only thing is the Lakeside Focuser, it is now controlled through the UPB tab in Ekos but I can't seem to figure out how to set min/max travel. Anyone any ideas?
  2. No idea about that stuff. Try searching for Molybdenum Disulphate Grease but in reality I would think any thick sticky grease will work.
  3. Really good image for a poor nights seeing.
  4. I came across one Ebay ad quite a while ago which was extremely cleverly worded. Looking at the auction it looked like he was selling a brand new Canon with no reserve. Only when I dissected the description did I figure out he was actually selling a picture of the camera. Definite scam but worded so well that it didn't look like he was breaking any Ebay rules.
  5. Looks nice, though a little on the red side.
  6. Yet another great image Brian.
  7. I think you have done them justice, nice colour balance. Well done.
  8. Try Stellarium, Clear Outside, Xasteria, PS Align Pro.
  9. Very nice, could do with trying to bring up the colour a little.
  10. Nice surface details, shame it's pretty quiet at the moment.
  11. If you don't mind them raised then you can always use construction adhesive and glue them onto the slabs. This might work out easier as you can set up your mount and then lift each leg a little to place them. With the mount on to it will keep them perfectly in place. They only need to be 1/4" thick and 1" to 2" diameter. I could make some up but I would have to order some brass in, or stainless steel. Or as you say, just drill a dimple in the slab.
  12. Guiding might help to some extent but you will be adding even more weight so it might be worse.
  13. How about 3 brass pucks with a dimple in the middle for the tripod points to sit in. Drill holes in slabs and cement them in.
  14. Got it all mounted today only to discover that Altair sent the wrong connector for my focuser. So will have to persist with the Lakeside box for now.
  15. It's a great effort, lovely blues coming through rather than the usual mauve.
  16. Something like this should be ok. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Liqui-Moly-3510-Long-Life-Grease/dp/B00295CR0U/ref=sr_1_31?dchild=1&keywords=high+pressure+grease&qid=1587724767&sr=8-31
  17. Lovely proms but that yellow is a bit garish.
  18. I would go for a thick grease, maybe high pressure grease or molybdenum sulphide based grease.
  19. Have a look at some apps for your phone, my built in compass (iPhone app) shows coordinates and elevation. There are also online GPS location sites that will tell you. It's not too important though, just change it to 20m or what you feel is right.
