Finally got to use my CC6 this evening and while I was impressed with the clarity of the views it took ages to settle. It is mounted on a AZ5 with the stainless steel tripod which theoretically should be fine. Does anyone have any suggestions please, any input would be very welcome. -
I have had my 200P Dobsonian for about 2years and it has been an excellent choice IMO. It is very versatile and easy to use giving great views. As I only observe I can’t offer any advice on AP.

I have had my CC6 for over 1 month and have not yet used it apart from lining up the finder. Talk about frustration 🙄

Not seeing anything through telescope

It must be an individual preference as my eyes are fine looking at the moon in its waxing stages and I don’t need a filter, but when it approaches half moon it is far too bright for my eyes.- 37 replies

I don’t think the SW focuser comes with a pulley wheel but I think I have a spare one if it would be of any use to you. -

You might have to look at some of the more expensive focusers. -

Waiting at traffic lights outside a local radio station location it amused me when the weather forecaster said “dry with sunny intervals” when the rain was bouncing off the pavement. 🙄

A lot of people are disappointed with the magnification of 6” telescopes, imagine what it would be with one of these 🙁
