The constraints of the seeing conditions Neil, i think. Focus can be incredibly hard to settle on, generally spend a fair bit of time push the little tie-wrap attached to my 10-1 focuser backwards and forwards, then back again...... All you can do is observe and hope you have it as close as possible in those conditions. I think you can only get it close, as the seeing is so poor at times.

Easy come, easy go as they say. I did get up Reggie, but it was pretty grim. Good to see some images on here though 🙂

2 scopes but do i need a third for solar ha imaging

The Lunt 50 is a fine all round H/A scope, but double stacking mine made it a so much better. Obviously comes at a price. Have you considered the 2nd hand market? I know the Quarks have had some quality issues, so i am not sure i would consider the 2nd hand market. -
A minor stacking problem, is usually the least of my worries when stacking white light dices. Very nice end result as well

superb photos Luke. It was always going to be tricky to see here in the U.K, well done for making the most of your opportunity.

What could possibly go wrong 🙂 Going to be a tough one i think, up at 3am, Moon very low on the horizon, cloudy forecast, getting light as well. I will definitely be giving it a go though. Looking forward to seeing what everyone manages, hopefully some of us will escape the clouds/rain. 🙂
