  1. Had another go to try and increase the color. I think i have teased a bit more from it, without doing to much damage. What do you think @CraigT82
  2. It does look a bit washed out, probably due to my clumsy processing 🙂 probably lost some colour during the sharpening/denoise, thank you for your observation, always good to have another sets of eyes!
  3. It has been a long wait this year to get the time, or weather to image Saturn this year. An opportunity presented itself on the 19th and the seeing seemed pretty decent as well 🙂 Saturn obviously very low at around 14 degrees. some pretty good detail visible though. C9.25, Asi224mc, ADC, X1.8 Barlow. Stacked around 10% of 30,000 frames. Astra image software for processing, impressed by the Lucy Richardson deconvolution and particularly the denoise function.
  4. Excellent capture, good to see the moons in the frame.
  5. Very nicely captured, the season barely even started in the UK.
  6. I think you are ok to post a wanted advert there, but you need 50 posts to sell an item.
  7. Hi welcome to SGL from Peter in Bedfordshire :-)

  10. Good to be up and about, posting again after my recent hernia op!

Still a bit sore, hoping to use the next week "recovering" to test my new tilt adapter with the asi290mm

  11. Excellent images Avani, well explained about the effect as well.
  12. This a great topic for a challenge, its been really interesting watching all the coverage recently.
  13. Thanks you Freddie, can't imagine taking that picture a few years ago with a phone!
  14. Hi welcome to SGL from Pete in Bedfordshire 🙂
  15. Not a fan myself, but that's only because I like being freezing cold at night and tired the next morning 😀 On a personal level being outside looking up at the stars is a huge part of astronomy for me, probably why a stopped imaging DSO's, I just felt I was looking down more than up! 🤩 Seriously though, do what you enjoy! As DP said as long you are honest about what you are presenting I don't see why anyone would have a problem. Damien peach's planetary images of late are a collaboration with the http://www.chilescope.com/ team. You will find many of his planetary images in their gallery. There is also a "remote (robotic) capture" category in the Insight astrophotographer of the year competition as well.
  16. Looks pretty poor unfortunately, at least we are not missing any long dark winter nights or any decent Solar activity. Feels like this summer isn't going to be anything like last year, early days I guess........
  17. I made one out of an old RDF a couple of months back
  18. It might just about be visible from my current "Planetary spot" down the garden. 12 degrees is very low though!
  19. It might be worth mentioning it in one of the Solar imaging/Observing sections as well.
  20. Hi Steve, my B600 is green like the left hand image. The serial number is 2014295. Hope this helps.

  23. Excellent category, it's putting on a pretty good show so far.
  24. I have very recently made a purchase from https://www.astroshop.eu/ who are based in Germany. I purchased an eyepiece on the 25.09.2018, which has duly arrived today 01.10.2018, well packed and in perfect condition. Very good communication, tracking info, delivery time, especially considering this was over the weekend. They used UPS, who provide updates as to where your parcel currently is, when it is going to be delivered.
