Awesome shot! It is just unbelievable how much larger Jupiter actually is. I tried to do a similar shot but didn't get a good image, yet. -
I used a Skywatcher 150/750 newtonian with the EQ3-2 Synscan mount and a Canona EOS 1000D. In total it is about 1.5 hours of exposure. -

Thank you all again! John: For the orion nebula I took around 100 pictures and for the whirlpool galaxy around 200 pictures (30 second exposure each) and I used pixinsight for stacking and processing. Not sure about the moon image anymore, but I used registax for stacking and processing.

Thank you Carole, thank you davhei. Maybe one day I will stock up my equipment. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford anything better at the moment. These pictures were taken from my backyard, so I'm also interested in how much the quality will improve once I go out in a less light polluted area.

Hey everyone, my name is Mike, I'm 26 years old and I wanted to buy a telescope since I was in school. A few months ago I finally purchased my very first telescope (Skywatcher 150/750 newtonian, eq3-2) and I wanted to be more active in this awesome community. Here are my very first captures I made this year I'm looking forward to whatever is next and I hope to learn from more experienced people in this forum. Cheers, Mike
