  1. Hi Vlaiv. I tried processing standard integration and drizzle. I just liked the drizzle better. Seemed sharper and the stars were less soft. Thanks Graham, i'm hoping for clear skies soon to add some colour.
  2. Hi Vlaiv. I was playing around with different settings in APP and found that a drizzle integration gave the best results. I know data should be undersampled to really see a benefit but nothing like a real world test to see what works.
  3. Hi all, it's been a few months since i had a chance to image due to losing astro dark in the south of Ireland, but happily it has returned which gave me the opportunity to image the Eagle Nebula which i thought would be impossible from my location. I took a chance and slewed to it and there it was although extremely low down with hfr readings of 2.4 and above. I decided to give it a go and after two nights and only 2 hrs of data i'm delighted to tick this one off my list of iconic objects. 150 second subs at unity gain with the asi 1600 and esprit 100 Captured with sgpro and processed in PS. Dwb 192 and Sh2-116 This is an area of Cygnus that i couldn't find much information on. It's quite feint and i need to get a lot more data on it. Bottom right is Planetary Nebula Sh2-116 If anyone has any information on this area i would appreciate it. 6 hrs in 300 second subs at unity gain with the asi 1600 through an esprit 100 Captured with sgpro and stacked in APP. Processed in PS. Richard.
  4. Hi Louise. Ciaran (Xiga is his username) uses this camera very successfully. Produces some great narrowband stuff too. Give him a pm I'm sure he'd be happy to help.
  5. I just ordered one of these. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-accessories/zwo-125-helical-focuser.html Focus can be a pain with the thumb screw.
  6. Yes takes a certain amount of guts to go again after a bad experience but the 071 is an excellent camera. I have the asi1600 too and only ever use it for narrowband. How're your skies?
  7. Very nice first light. I've the same scope and camera great combination imo.
  8. I refocus if i rotate or if i slew to another part of the sky. I've found focus is changed by both actions.
  9. First one looks fine to me. Second image has slight star elongation in the top right. Did you re focus when you rotated?
  10. That's a great image. I like the more toned down background of the last version with maybe a blend of that version and the first for the galaxy itself. As always saturation is a tricky one and should come down to whatever you like yourself.
  11. That looks very nice indeed. You image some very interesting targets.
  12. I have both the 1600 and the 071. I only use the 1600 for narrowband. While most will tell you mono is faster i find the opposite as there's more to go wrong and for me it often did. I love the simplicity of osc cameras and i always end up with full colour data to play with if my session is cut short.
  13. I did this with a twin Samyang setup and Asi cameras. You can open 2 instances of Sgpro. Richard.
  14. Wonderful, and 68 hrs? That would take me a full season of imaging.
  15. Thanks Ciarán. No plan for adding filters i'm afraid, i don't have any others. Thanks Olly. I'm with you on that. Maybe on a given aperature, all other things equal then F ratio does what it says on the tin.
  16. Ya i reckon keeping things as simple as possible is the way to go. If your guiding is good and stars are good then no point changing anything.
  17. I like it, nice image. The Butterfly looks like it just dropped its star.
