  1. I'd say it will be at least 2.5k if not 3k
  2. Thanks, I'll give it a go. Did the link take you to the Qhy600? It's the 268c i'm after. 26 mp 16 bit Aps-c
  3. Thanks Alan. The little red nebula on the right is part of the Bat Nebula.
  4. Thanks Ciarán. Yes the 071 is a very good camera and the deep wells are a bonus, however i will probably be selling it soon to fund this https://www.qhyccd.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=94&id=56 Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean reducing the image size in PS?
  5. Thanks Adam. Didn't know i had a style 😁
  6. Thanks Mick. A difficult one to process. Captured in August but i only managed a version i was happy with earlier today.
  7. Hi all. This is Barnard 150, a dark nebula in Cepheus. Cataloged in the early 20th century by E. E Barnard. At some 1,200 ly distant it is part of a much larger molecular cloud. This was a challenge as i had issues with dew which have been sorted since, however most of the subs were affected and as i'm in the middle of a much larger project i can't sacrifice any more clear sky to redo the subs. 10 hrs in 150 second subs over two nights in August with the Esprit 100 and the Asi 071 Sensor cooled to -5 and gain 50. Zwo Ir filter. All mounted on an Az Eq6. Captured with Sgpro and Stacked in APP Processed in APP, PI and PS I reckon i'm among a very small group of people in Ireland that are looking forward to the clocks changing this weekend. Clear skies to enjoy. Richard.
  8. That looks great. The stars look much improved and that would be down to focus i'll bet. Pity about the dew, had similar issues myself recently in that regard.
  9. The signal is probably hiding it. I think you'll find it's there in the background. This camera doesn't need to cool beyond -5 as the benefit in reduced dark current is very small beyond that. How are you storing the camera? I use one of those small disposable dehumidifiers in a small cupboard. Finally are you using the little adapter with the desiccant tablets that screws into the side of the camera? Unfortunately it's a known issue with this camera so you need to be sure you don't let any moisture into the chamber. I have no issues if i do the above.
  10. That's a very promising start Adam. Congrats on the new scope.
  11. Super Glob Steve. Makes me wish i had a scope that could do this justice.
  12. Thanks. As already mentioned by Alex add the files individually. I made the same mistake. Thanks. I just used the default setting in StarNet on an image stretched to approx 80% of final result. I then brought the starless image into PS and used the healing brush around the areas affected by the star removal. Thanks for that Steve. I will try in both PS and PI now.
  13. Thanks Ragnar I'll have a go at this when i get a chance.
  14. I always thought your images were far superior with the Kaf sensor and looking at that one it's obvious.
  15. Thanks Ciarán. I'll give that a try this evening. Thanks Dave. It did very well removing some large stars including the Garnet with a quick go after using the healing brush.
  16. Why would Zwo be ashamed? This is a Panasonic sensor and the same issue exists in the Atik, Qhy and other versions.
  17. Thanks. Must give this a try. I failed using PS
  18. Thanks Alan. Ya I've struggled trying to get them back in. I assume some sort of star mask and adding them back in by just selecting the stars but I'm not managing so far.
  19. If you take another look you'll see that those aren't stars rather small bright Ha regions. StarNet is a free Pixinsight module and since this is my first time trying this I'm afraid i don't have any reference to say whether or not it's any good but it did a decent job here.
  20. Hi all, this is just a bit of fun experimenting with StarNet for Pixinsight. Thanks @Laurin Davefor helping with the install. This is 18 hours over three panels and 3 nights. Esprit 100, Asi 1600 and Astrodon 5nm Ha filter. What i was hoping is that someone would know how to add the stars back in. I have Photoshop and Pixinsight although my knowledge of the latter is quite limited. Thanks for looking. Richard.
  21. That's a massive improvement. Great image. I think it could be tidied up a little with a crop and some green removal. First is definitely too magenta, at least on my screen.
