    Just remembered this thread. There're some great images taken with this humble mount. My first image on my Eq-3 for at least year. Dusted it down in anticipation of a 2 week trip to a dark sky reserve. This is 2 hours in 30 second subs Sony A7s, Wo Star 71. Richard.

    Great image. looks like the borg and Asi1600 are a nice combo. I think you might be in or around the sweet spot of exposure time for the camera at 5mins.

    2016 for me was about getting to know my gear. Biggest improvement was setting up a permanent pier which i control from my living room meaning i can make the most of any clear skies. All images taken with Skywatcher 80 ed and Asi 1600mm, mounted on an AZ EQ6.

    This was the best i managed on my eq3-2 with skywatcher ed80. 60 mins of 60 second subs and some shorter for the core at iso 800. Captured with a canon 600d unmodded. I upgraded to an az eq6 as i was throwing out to many subs due to mount error. I'm keeping the eq3 as a portable widefield rig. It's only a 1.8mb jpg as i couldn't find the png.

    Hi Gina. Did you have two programs connected to the camera at the same time? I found the only time APT would stall on busy was when i connected sharpcap and APT simultaneously.
