  1. Thank you everyone for commenting. To be honest this mount makes unguided imaging so painless. Its a huge bit of kit weighing nearly 200Kg in total, 3meter focal length, and it slews around like its carrying nothing.... 20 degrees a second is its slowest setting (60 fastest).... Planewave have got it spot on. The software is easy to use creating a model was very simple and polar alignment was a doddle..... However I did put my back out for a few days when installing the thing though 😂
  2. I love your colour balance, you have managed to keep those lovey pink tones....great image
  3. M51 an extreme crop from a larger frame. Imaged from Spain with The 17in Planewave unguided with the L500 mount and Moravian 16803 G4. LRGB all 300s subs, 3hrs Luminance 4hrs each in RGB. Processed with Pixinsight and Photoshop Thanks for looking Peter
  4. another epic shot Goran....I really love the composition on this one.....M81 and M82 places it really well
  5. lovely colour and detail
  6. Sooooo deep.....just beautiful. Normally a starless image shows detail you would ordinarily not notice....but in this case there is so much going on in the original there isnt a lot missed. Great shot
  7. interesting ....Shock waves are very similar as how the crescent nebula gets its ripples too.....does sound more likely when its explained.
  8. Thank you everyone for commenting. 😀 Go ahead and get one printed if you want Ive always know it as the curtain and seems to be more noticeable in the Ha data. According to Wiki....(who knows if is accurate) the streaking is caused the magnetic field from stars in the open cluster (Sigma Ori), sound plausible to me..
  9. its really good result. your flats look almost like the filter wheel is off centre. Do you calibrate your flats?
  10. A great result....superb video....It gives a good perspective for your final image......
  11. Wow thank you that is a massive complement ... I would love that to be true
  12. star colour is great...nice work
  13. That's a very respectable image....especially with your limitations, LP and view etc...
  14. what a stunning rendition....and a beautiful scope....I was hoping to see some results from the an ED160 soon
  15. Ive had a very quick go at a repair on your halo....its has some really nasty edges but with a bit more time spent it can be fixed.
