  1. There are just things like weather safeties and internet reliability, power cuts etc all have to be thought about ....but once you have all of the gremlins sorted its a joy!....until something breaks down of course.... lol Thank you Francis Thank you.....Im not so sure, there are some stunners out there.....but I will take the complement all the same 🙂 Thank you Dave....
  2. I just finished grabbing the data for this one on Saturday night remotely from Spain...Its the first data set from the new camera..... M20 The Triffid Nebula, Imaged with the 17in Planewave and FLI Kepler KL4040 ....Its taken a little time to get my head around this camera but I think I'm finally there with it now. Exposure time was only 1hr each in LRGB, luminance were 60s subs, and the RGB were all 120s.... Imaged at 20 degrees so not the best for such a long focal length but I'm still very pleased with the result. Thanks for looking Peter Shah I felt the original needed some H-alpha so I grabbed 30mins worth to lift the background. So this rendition has 10x180s added.
  3. Thats pretty deep Dave...great work
  4. That's beautiful Andy, I love the framing and richness of M4, stars all the way into the core
  5. Thanks Andy....Scorpius is a wonderful part of the sky.....I stopped down the lens to f3.2 from 2.8, it really helped with the chromatic effects from the stars and had less trouble pushing it compared to The Witches Head.
  6. Thank you Andy....It was a huge surprise I have to say
  7. love the Field of View, we don't often see the whole extent of the elephant trunk. Presumably you have used the standard HST Palette?. The H-alpha in this object will always overwhelm the SII and OIII. Try not to push the Ha so much and try to allow to the SII and OIII come through a little more....Colour balance on narrow band is always a personal thing and is very different to colour balancing RGB as the ratios are so much further away. Plus objects vary as to how much SII and OIII they have in them.
  8. thank you for the comments.....Its almost a perfect shaped galaxy with some lovely structure...... I am really pleased the way it came out

  15. NGC 4501 or M88 in Coma Berenices Imaged remotely from Spain with the RCOS 12.5 RC FLI 16803 and cropped in. Exposure times were 5hrs each in RGB and 4and a half in Luminance. Processed in Photoshop and Pixinsight. Thanks for looking Peter Shah
