  1. Looking great Dave, that MDF is new to me - replacement for marine ply, looks useful but expensive but then...........
  2. That will be about £450 next week if the euro drops a bit more ???
  3. Have a new phone with a good camera and was looking for a simple app that would allow me to delay shutter opening and time when the shutter will close, still looking. But did find on Google play store a beta if you like app that looks more than useful, DeepSkyCamera able to set number of shots, length, intervals etc, insists on saving in raw (phone needs to support) and free download and use atm. Cannot link to play store but here is a home page :. https://www.deepskycamera.de
  4. As Alan said, great picture - almost a fairground fatter reflection.
  5. Looking really good Kev, surprising how much time and timber these things take, you have loads of room under the floor for cable trunking before you put the floor down.
  6. Looking really good Kev, nice to be working in the sunshine.
  7. Here's the ice in space topic - got time ? Brendon at it again................... links in the first post to other sites........ well it's a holiday weekend and what's 45 plus pages between friends
  8. Welcome to the forum Hendy, looking at @abhorielposts looks like last on 11th April, you may be advised to send a personal message from here.
  9. That's super nice, 7timer had periods of being down. @Shibby a longtime SGL member is responsible for Astro Panel, some of the negative feedback for that app was due to 7timer being down.
  10. I have something like this on the almost flat roll off roof, not enough slope and I was to light on materials, summer job methinks.
  11. I think you can find cheaper than £104 and this was just a quick search link
  12. This is all over my head Ian, but good to see you are 'on it' and getting somewhere. What is the other project ? you are now using.
  13. I have glanced (in the past) at a thread on IceInSpace started by Brendan, covers the same camera's I believe. A long read at 42 pages and it's part 2 !! Looks good work from everybody. (as a btb - always good diy stuff on iceinspace)
  14. I am wondering if FLO will have to upgrade the Stargazerslounge servers to keep up
  15. We get plusnet at just under 50Mb/s mostly, faster hardwired to puter than wifi - seems fast enough to me - I am sure you will be happy with that sort of speed Gina. (we are limited to 10Mb/s uploads and don't notice any problems)
  16. And a wow from me as well, very nice. what a great project.
  17. I would suggest for simple, windows movie maker unfortunately microsoft have dropped it alltogether. The version (2.6vista) linked from @Bizibilder post is a bit old, you can find installers on the net for 'Windows Essential 2012' movie maker V16.4 was part of that package. I know some have trouble getting V16.4 to run on modern computers (possibly why microsoft have dropped it) but it has always worked for me (only install MM not other essential's). A free version of Da Vinci Resolve is available, not simple but very stable and useable, I was impressed when I played with it a couple of months ago. I had memory problems with it and eventually installed a cheap graphic card on my desktop, strangely no problems on my slightly lower spec laptop? DaVinci Resolve 14 Public Beta download from bottom of the page (Win,Mac & Linux) also a good manual and forum and the usual youtube stuff.
  18. The neatest ever computer psu power supply just got pretty !! love the blue surround
  19. Looks a good way to go, LiFePO4 and think I have seen this type of thing on SGL before. How long to recharge ?
  20. just like 30 years ago - just get a can of magic smoke and refill the controller ...........
  21. Very nice James, nice balance of light levels, sky & ground, quite smooth no jumpy cuts or change of pace, I may watch that again
  22. Oh no !! I do wish I had not read that, bet it will live with me for a while.........
  23. On Win 10 pro here - levono i5 lappy, just downloaded Jessie Lite (the zip), got a corrupted message - but all looked ok, unziped and can see file in downloads, 1,357,824kb I am not installing atm but downloaded diskimager and ran - jessie was accepted in the large box. Had to quit as thats as far as I won't to go, may try a card later. as a btb Gina, if any of these programs are updated later - hopefully this will all still work or these 'versions' still be available, I may download a store just in case.
  24. This will be a great thread Gina, I think you have pulled the rabbit out of the hat on this one, hope to see that rabbit run and run. Look forward to trying to keep up with this thread, usually find I am two pages behind with your stuff and I think I am on here way too much.
  25. I think you may have to watch out for this 64bit CPU business Gina, the Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 (Intel® Atom X5 quad-core) may be 64bit but (unless I am barking up the wrong tree) is much the same as the the Minix, still limited to 32bit. The first 2star customer review of the Justop mentions it.
