  1. Just about Jeremy I kinda like the the exercise of going in sun pops out go out sun disappears 😂😂😊
  2. Been a while since I did any solar viewing just getting back into it wow I’ve missed those views
  3. Getting back into solar again starting with this
  4. Having owned two previous 9.25 both the Ali tube version I’d say there’s a weight difference not massive but noticeable and the couple of times it’s been out since I got it it’s cooled down perfectly but I tend to put my scopes out for a while before a viewing session
  5. Hi Paul yes it had a few bad reviews but mainly due to poor packaging which has been addressed overall I’m very pleased with my example as are a few other owners it really is a very good optically and would push some premium scopes to there limits I’d say it’s slightly better than my Vixen Atlux 150 was and a tad behind the Takahashi TOA 150 so for the price I’d say it punches well above its weight .
  6. My C9.25 CF Just back from the Garage Well Es Garage really having had a full clean and check over Es said it was one of the best 9.25 he’s seen optically so very pleased there and looking pristine now was rather dusty inside and lots of dew spots etc but spotless now the man is a real genius with optics and a great person to chat with over a nice cuppa and some obligatory biscuits this will be my third 9.25 I’ve owned and certainly is great optically and weight wise it’s a breeze to mount
  7. At long last the skies aligned with my work and days off and I was able to give my WO 110 TEC a run out although full moon 🌕 hindered any real serious stuff I was pleased to see the optics didn’t disappoint the moon looked razor sharp and collimation was spot on pin sharp stars and the detail shown with only a 19mm Panoptics were equally as good as I’d witnessed From my old FS102 where possible the Sky looked nice and dark and stars took on the jewel like view . I was pleasantly surprised at how easy some of the double stars snapped Into focus and easily split I decided to also to try out my newly acquired TMB supermonocentrics eyepieces 6mm-5mm It was pleasing to see even though the seeing was not great and moon Low down they snapped in to focus and gave incredible detail the scope didn’t even struggle to bring them into focus I’m really looking forward to using this scope in some really nice dark sky places which will unlock the optics more and get the most out of those TMBs but very happy on the first light
  8. 😂No it was left over from a party the week before
  9. Funny thing I loved fishing as a young boy but grew out of it and now I loath it glad the opposite happened with astronomy 😊
  10. This week’s choice if a clear night appears
  11. Problem with second hand gear is new price has VAT included of 20% which neither the buyer or retailer has any Controll of so minus that then your left with the purchase cost new so it’s difficult when selling as most people forget a deduction of 30% off of new is only really 10% saving on retail price at the moment it’s a sellers market as there are limited stocks and used items are fetching more than 12 months ago and some items fetch more used than they cost new depending on how rare they are to find if discontinued but as others have said a nice ETX 125 depending on condition should achieve a sale around £450 give or take £50 depending on location delivery etc
  12. Postman just dropped off these two beauties hopefully will get some nice clear nights soon to try them out .
