  1. Newly acquired and Just back from being Professionally Collimated the views are simply stunning the moon was as if it was in my Garden and Jupiter and Mars show amazing detail can’t wait to do some serious moon studies and see what is possible with theses Binos
  2. Just back from being professionally collimated and the views are stunning
  3. The TSA 120 is great all rounder the 130 gives a little more if I had to keep only one then it would be the the 120 but I’m lucky I don’t and the 130 I have now is perfect it’s quite lightweight and the optics are close to the Takahashi on par most nights only on exceptional nights the Tak gives that bit more .
  4. I think the 130s hit the sweat spot in size and portability I love mine I’ve had several over the years From Astro Physics ,TMB ,APM, And Astreya all great scopes
  5. Hi John yes I know mark well he’s a nice guy I got my Obsession 18 from him a couple months ago

  10. We’ll Stu unless my health deteriorates the plan is to keep it 😂 I’ve tried several regret selling one and this is definitely the most I can sensibly manage and keep my TSA 120 as my Daily scope hence selling the TMB which I love and will miss Alan surprisingly it is quite sort of it breaks down and assembles quite quickly and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed
  11. I have been waiting a long time to find a premium truss Dobsonion I missed out on two previous 18 Obsession ultra compact scopes and a 20 due to various reasons and poor timing well at last I can now say my search is over I’m now a Proud owner of an Obsession 18 classic after a 5 hour round trip yesterday after work it’s now proudly sitting in my conservatory much to my wife’s annoyance and what have you gone and done now , so first time assembling this evening no first light yet as I have a back injury suffered few weeks ago I am so impressed the quality is top class I have had several other models over the years but this is in a different league the movement is so smooth once mastered should only take a few minutes to assemble.
  12. It depends on what bag really the CPC series I prefer the Geoptics also the Oklop bags are very good
  13. Hi Garry, how do the artesky bags compare? I read they have a padded wooden base? Is the padding a similar thickness? They are a different design with a zip around the whole top surface which looks like it would be a bit easier to drop your scope into but do the unsupported sides maintain their shape or do they flop down making it more difficult to put the scope inside? Do you have a preference between the 2? It depends on the bag you select the CPC series has a hard plastic base and extra foam supports for the arms the refractor and Newtonian are just padded sides etc
  14. Have owned a couple of Steel Tracks and can’t fault them great build quality and quite a bit cheaper than some I could mention
